Asked to undertake a total 10,560m2 of floor screeding and EPS insulation, 500g, site mixed (2 x bags per mix|50kg). Directly installing to an existing concrete sub-base following a rip-out, the project consisted of refurbishing an existing office complex into apartments. A challenging contract in terms of assessing levels on the existing slab and subsequently marrying up with existing stair core entrances.
We overcame this obstacle by continually getting ‘in-front’ of the screeders in terms of laser surveying the slab, therefore being able to adjust EPS insulation thicknesses as we moved through the building enabling our screed thicknesses to remain at a constant average throughout the install. We pre-organised with the site team several access points throughout the building for pump-set up and material positioning.
