Embracing the Advantages of Self-Compacting Concrete

Self Compacting Concrete

Using self-compacting concrete enables the rapid construction of slabs and floors. With high finishing characteristics, the surface quality eliminates the use of power floating. We are able to install self-compacting concrete to insulated beam and block systems, underfloor heating systems and metal decks to a finish tolerance of BS 8204-1 SR2 surface regularity.

Ready-mixed, self-compacting concrete enables fast, pumped, efficient construction of floor slabs. By avoiding the need for manual compaction and power finishing using self-compacting concrete can help reduce programme times.

Removal of the power floating operation reduces an aspect of the variability and unpredictability with concrete slab construction.

Self-compacting concrete increases the predictability of construction projects with respect to project time and costs, reducing the risk of unforeseen expenses and delays.

Product Compatibility

Directly to beam and block insulated systems
Can incorporate underfloor heating systems
Installed to metal decks
Ideal for house bases
High resistance to site traffic
No power floating required

35N/mm2 compressive strength at 28 days. Greater early strength can be achieved earlier or at 28 days if required. Fibre reinforcement is included within the mixture together with shrinkage reducing admixtures as standard.

Walkable in 24 hours, with full site traffic after 72 hours. High humidity or low ambient temperatures can delay the drying out process, we ensure the correct floor screed type is specified at quotation stage.

Delivered in ready mixed concrete tumble wagons. Offering rapid installation capabilities, we can install up to 500m2 per day at nominal 75mm thickness. Consideration must be taken for preparation/tanking beforehand.

Self compacting concrete enables rapid fabrication of slabs and floors. The latest technology means that the surface finish is of the highest quality eliminating the requirement for power floating.
