In July 2014, we were proud to be part of the development at the Victoria’s Secret store in Brent Cross Shopping Centre, Prince Charles Drive, London. For this project, we installed 1090m² of Tarmac Cem-Screed, a 40mm thick, site-mixed screed, which was expertly pumped into place using our specialized equipment.
At Interior Screed, we take pride in delivering high-quality flooring solutions across the UK. For this particular development, we site-mixed the screed using pumps that blend graded, washed sharp sand sourced from our extensive network of aggregate suppliers, combined with our bagged-cement products. Our screeds are typically installed in two ways: either floating on thermal or acoustic insulation boards or directly bonded to the slab using SBR bonding agents, depending on the specific requirements of each project.
We understand the complexities of working in challenging environments, and we’re experienced in providing cost-effective solutions even when site conditions or access restrictions pose difficulties. To ensure smooth operations, we often supply waste disposal facilities and recommend that clients pre-plyboard screed mixing areas, helping us maintain a clean and tidy installation. Additionally, we line the area with polythene to protect the surroundings, all at no extra cost to the client.
One of our key strengths is the ability to pump floor screeds up to 150m from a static mixing area, allowing us to work in difficult-to-reach locations. Our UK-wide distribution service delivers and collects our floor screed pumps, ensuring timely and efficient service to sites nationwide.
Our supply chain includes a network of British Standard sand and aggregate suppliers, allowing us to distribute up to 100 tonnes of graded materials each day. We can deliver between 20-100 tonnes of sand, aggregates, and screed materials daily, depending on the project’s needs.
On average, we install between 100m² and 400m² of site-mixed and ready-mixed floor screeds per day, depending on lead-in times and site conditions. Additionally, we offer insulation systems, gas barriers, polythene, and liquid DPMs, along with a range of accessories.
